Only part that Jeff is correct about is the precursors for wood (specifically Birch, maybe others) translating into medicinal compounds in mushrooms. People have mentioned this before, Paul Stamets even demonstrated this in his research. Lots of growers like wood fiber and pellets or sawdust or even actual logs to grow their mushrooms. Hearing Tony and Jeff is painful. Tony just sucks berner off the whole time, then makes an unscientific comparison of a trichome stalk and head to a mushrooms mycelium and fruiting body cap. Complete morons and anyone who knows anything about medicinal mushrooms knows what I mean. Jeff relies on narrow research because his motive is to sell Chinese grown mushrooms through his business (that’s his business model). The research he references is mostly about beta-glucans which are large complex molecules that sit on the receptors of some cells. These are great but nowhere near as promising as the smaller compounds that are made primarily by the mycelium which permeate cell walls and work from within the cell. The literature states that this is far more promising for being anti-viral, anti-bacterial, and anti-inflammatory (which has been demonstrated that in fact it is). These studies that are favorable to mycelium are never mentioned by people like Jeff. Anyone who knows ANYTHING about mycology should know this. You don’t need Paul Stamets research or Jeff chiltons marketing either, look it up for yourself.
Berner is really for the people, and the culture of Cannabis. We definitely do need to communicate more about synergy from different walks of life so we can represent the bigger 🍄💨 picture to the world.
